How to configure SCE email on Mac using Apple Mail?

The article contains info as of Apple Mail version 8.2 on Yosemite (OSX 10.10.2).

Before you start, please, be sure to have your email address and your email password. For more info visit the article Setting up SCE email into an email client.
  1. Open Mail. If you haven't added a new account yet, you'll be taken directly to the Add Account prompt. If you're adding an additional account, or this prompt doesn't otherwise load automatically, you'll need to select Add Account from the Mail menu.
  2. From the Add Account prompt, select Add Other Mail Account... and click Continue.
  3. Enter your email account information.
    • Full Name: Your name as you would like it to appear.
    • Email Address: Your full email address.
    • Password: The password for your email account.

    Click the Create button when you're ready.
  4. Mail will attempt to contact the mail server. The default search uses "autodiscover.shoppingcartelite.com" -- unless you have this subdomain already created and an SSL Certificate installed, this will not work. However, don't worry! It's totally normal for this to happen, since Shopping Cart Elite's servers do not have autodiscover settings enabled by default.

    When an autodiscover setting has been unsuccessful, an "Account must be manually configured" message will appear. Click the Next button to complete setup manually.
  5. Next, enter your incoming mail server information.
    • Account Type: IMAP;
    • Mail Server: imap.shoppingcartelite.com;
    • User Name: Your full email address;
    • Password: The password for your email account.

  6. Click the Next button to proceed. You will be taken to a second screen to confirm additional details.

    • Path Prefix: Leave this area blank;
    • Port: 143;
    • SSL Checkbox: checked;
    • Authentication: Be sure that Password is selected from the dropdown menu.
  7. Next, we'll configure the Outgoing Mail Server.

    • SMTP Server: smtp.shoppingcartelite.com;
    • User Name: Your full email address or leave the field blank;
    • Password: The password for the email account or leave the field blank.
  8. Click the Create button when you're ready.
  9. Your email account has been created.

Setting up SCE email into an email client

How have you been, guys?

A lot of our customers don't know how to use email outside the Shopping Cart Elite app (e.g. in Outlook / Airmail / on a smartphone / etc.). And today I want to show how this can be done.

At first, go to the SCE app, open Settings > BackOffice Settings > Emails > Mailboxes and check the list of emails you have in the application.

Then, go to your email client you want to use and enter the next info for the email:

username: [youremailaddress]
password: [yourSCElogin]
~[yourSCEpass]

incoming server: imap.shoppingcartelite.com
incoming port:
143
encryption: TLS

outgoing server:
smtp.shoppingcartelite.com
outgoing port: 587
encryption: TLS

Sometimes an issue appears when you are changing your SCE password - your email stops working in the mail client. That's why I recommend you to create a new Employee account with Administrator permissions in your SCE store and use it for an email client.

Week's issue with login

Hello, everybody!

It's windy and cold in New York today, but I hope you are doing good, aren't you?

About a month ago ShoppingCartElite notified all our customers, that we are moving to the higher version of Microsoft .NET Framework up to 4.6 and everybody has to install the .NET 4.6 package on their machines to let it be ready for the new SCE Core 3.0.

Starting this week, our developers updated ShoppingCartElite servers for the new version and published new release of the SCE application.

Somebody ignored our warning or some steps and now they can't login into the SCE application.

The error they are facing is:
System.BadImageFormatException: Could not load file or assembly 'C:\Shopping Cart Elite\screens\mainScreenAccount\mainScreenAccount.dll' or one of its dependencies. This assembly is built by a runtime newer than the currently loaded runtime and cannot be loaded. File name: 'C:\Shopping Cart Elite\screens\mainScreenAccount\mainScreenAccount.dll' at System.Reflection.AssemblyName.nGetFileInformation(String s) at System.Reflection.AssemblyName.GetAssemblyName(String assemblyFile) at sceLauncher.Module1.CheckVersion(IUserMenu M) at sceLauncher.Module1.LoadMenusForUpdate(IUser usr) at sceLauncher.frmLogin.StartApp() at sceLauncher.frmLogin.OK_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) WRN: Assembly binding logging is turned OFF. To enable assembly bind failure logging, set the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog] (DWORD) to 1. Note: There is some performance penalty associated with assembly bind failure logging. To turn this feature off, remove the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog].

If you are in the same situation, no worries, it isn't hard to solve the problem.

The steps are:

- do a complete uninstall of the SCE application;
- delete all folders in C:\Shopping Cart Elite\ ;
- make sure that latest Windows updates are installed and you use Windows 7 at least;
- make sure Microsoft .NET 4.6 is installed (downloading link: http://bit.ly/1ZZ0S5Z);
- make sure virus scan is disabled;
- do a new install using this file: http://bit.ly/1PVh9nO.

Please, contact your SCE manager on Skype or me in case if you still have the same issue or have any questions.

Wish you all the highest Business progress,
Tim.
